In the next section, students are encouraged to configure the learning environment (Ubuntu virtual machine and Kali Linux) in Host-Only mode so that the machines are completely isolated from our local network.

However, some of you may experience increased response times from the vulnerable web application and slower connection speeds.

If this happens to you, I recommend configuring the network adapter of both virtual machines in NAT mode, which will significantly improve performance.

If you configure the network adapter in NAT mode, be especially careful to ensure that all techniques you use are executed against the IP address of the vulnerable virtual application and not against a system or application on the Internet.

Best regards, and see you in the next section!

Santiago.
