Looking for Excel datasets to practice with?

Over the years, I've had quite a lot of students ask me where they can get Excel data sets to practice with. Preferably high quality and, of course, free.

There are many sources out there, but one of the best sources I know has to be Kaggle. Kaggle is regarded as a "data science competition platform," where people can upload data sets (among other things) for the online community to gain access to.

Once signed in/signed up, click on:

1) Datasets (Located on the left of the screen).

2) Use the search feature at the top of the page to look for what you want.

3) Click on any of the search results you like.

4) There should be a preview of the data set available to download.

5) At the top right hand of the page, click on the black download button.

Is it safe? This is a decision you'll have to make yourself. But Kaggle has been around for more than 13 years, so it's a very mature website. Personally, I've never had any problems with it.

If you're interested, feel free to navigate to Kaggle by searching for it with Google, Bing, etc. Or click on the link below:

Please note: You don't have to visit and use Kaggle in order to complete this course. It's only a suggestion :)
