Thanks to student Ahmet Ergun for providing this Subnetting Table. It's very useful for quickly checking your answers but I do not recommend trying to memorize it - understand how to figure out the answers yourself as explained in this section.
Click on it to see larger size. Right-click on that and 'Save As' to download it.
You can also use your choice of online subnet calculator to check your answers to subnetting questions. For example http://www.subnet-calculator.com/
Here I'm checking the network address ('Subnet ID'), valid host addresses ('Host Address Range') and broadcast address for the subnet that 192.168.50.50/28 is a member of. Just fill in the details for the Network Class, IP Address and Mask Bits and the calculator will update the rest of the information for you.
This is how network engineers do subnetting questions in the real world, but you need to know how to figure out the answers manually for the CCNA exam. It's not a pointless exercise as it's very important to understand how subnetting actually works so you can work on and troubleshoot real world networks. (That's why I'm putting this near the end, not the beginning of the section.)
